There’s something special about sitting on those old, rickety wooden chairs while teetering back and forth across the harbor. As I gazed out through the box-framed windows of the Star Ferry, I experienced a moment of complete silence. I was all alone on the top deck, and what I saw was the taint sun setting on the beautiful harbor. It was in that moment where I captured this photo, an almost perfect photographic representation of my feelings that day: complete peacefulness. It’s an interesting paradox because Hong Kong isn’t normally considered peaceful, simply because it is a bustling metropolitan city with six million people. But there’s something special about this photo, and what I saw in that moment, that makes me fall in love with Hong Kong – over and over again…
